PUMA is proud to announce the return of its pioneering PROJECT3 initiative for the 2025 New York City Marathon.

This next chapter of PROJECT3 will give a new group of sub-elite marathoners the chance to train like pros—testing PUMA’s fastest race-day gear, receiving expert coaching, and experiencing what it means to be part of a world-class running program.

Originally launched earlier this year for the Boston and London Marathons, PROJECT3 welcomed 100 runners at each race and gave them early access to the Fast-R NITRO™ Elite 3—PUMA’s fastest running shoe yet—before toeing the line in it on race day.

Now, as we set our sights on New York City, we’re excited to welcome another 100 sub-elite athletes from around the world. We remain committed to delivering a best-in-class experience—and if history is any guide, quite a few more personal bests may be waiting on the other side of the finish line.

REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:

  • Accepted, registered, and competing at the 2025 New York City Marathon 

  • Personal best (PB) of 3:10 or faster in the marathon

  • Submitted Application Form

  • Only complete applications will be considered.
